Following a brief hiatus, Edinburgh-based rapper, Conscious Route has joined forces with producer, Tzusan for the new single, ‘Father and Son.’

The single features swirling sonics alongside Conscious Route’s deep lyricism to deliver a track that demands more than one listen to unlock. With an instrumental version included in the release, there is also a darker, slowed down, atmospheric remix from Konchis, which strips the sound back to bring Conscious Route’s rhymes to the front.

This latest release follows 2020’s ‘Lost Routes’ album, where Conscious Route teamed up with producer True Note, gaining a 4-star review in The Scotsman from Fiona Shepherd, as well as having 5 tracks named among Scotland’s top 100 tunes last year.

Gaining plaudits and fans, including being named as having ‘track of the week’ on BBC Introducing Scotland, Conscious Route looks set to continue delivering homegrown hip-hop to make you think throughout 2021.

S.A.S: are a London-based hip hop duo and top names in the UK scene, who came to the mainstream attention after they performed a freestyle rap on New York City radio station Hot 97 in 2001. S.A.S. were affiliated with New York-based group; The Diplomats aka Dip Set. They are commonly referred to as S.A.S. or Eurogang. Eurogang refers to a group they formed in the U.K. The group was born in the United Kingdom, North London in East Finchley but came to the United States in 1998. Despite having come to the United States, the group is based and lives in the United Kingdom.
